Chinese built U-Mig-15 was a two seat jet conversion trainer. The Mig-15
was the first of the really modern Chinese and modern Soviet jet fighters
and demonstrated its substantial fighting capabilities in the Korean War |
U-Mig-15 served PAF as a conversion platformonto F-6s. F-6 was a
very agile & venerable aircraft and U-Mig-15 failed to simulate the flying
qualities of F-6 satisfactorily. It was soon decided to use Mig-15 for
instrument flying training only |
In 1966-67 limited number of
UMig-15s were inducted, which finally retired in 1980
